Hello! Welcome to our blog. We trust that this will be a place where you will find encouragement in your own journey as you see how God is working in our lives. Our greatest desire is to honor our Lord Jesus and praise Him in everything. We trust that you, too, will learn to trust Him and experience His faithfulness. He alone is worthy to receive praise and honor. We are an ordinary family in the eyes of the world (except for the size) but to God we are extraordinary, as is every person He has created. He has a unique plan for each of us and we desire to become all that He wants us to become, even if it entails hardship.
Let us introduce you to our family. We are Jim and Linda and we’ve been married almost 28 years now. God has blessed us with 12 children who we’ve had the privilege to know and care for, as well as 4 children who are with Jesus and who we look forward to seeing someday. Our oldest child is Andrew (26) who will be married to Crista by the time most of you are reading this. The others are Heidi (25), Hannah (24), Naomi (almost 23), Alyssa (21), Isaac (20), Simeon (18), Nathanael (16), Isaiah (14), Elisha (almost 12), Samuel (8), and Josiah (5). Each one of our children has blessed us in numerous ways. There is nothing like a child to cause growth in the parents.
We are a home schooling family, but don’t let that scare you. It really is a lot more common these days than it was when we started home schooling 21 years ago. Twenty-one years!! We can hardly believe it. And only 13 to go!! That’s quite an accomplishment for someone who never wanted to be a teacher. I wonder who has learned the most around here, the students or the teacher.
For the most part this blog will be written by Linda with an occasional guest writer, if she can convince any reluctant writers to contribute.
